How to clean cane/bamboo furniture

Just wondered if anyone knew of a tried and tested method of cleaning cane, wicker or bamboo furniture? I have some cane furniture with decorative bamboo which is starting to look a bit tired. I need to spruce it up a bit - it also gets very dusty due to its location. Any replies gratefully received.

Dont use anything that will froth up - Use a small brush or toothbrush and mild soap like Dove ( but only a bit ) and take your time. A spray bottle filled with water to rinse might help too

Hi Susan, Many thanks for your reply. I must admit I hadn't thought about using soap and thanks for the tip about froth!. I will certainly give it a try.
