I have a new Wolf 650Watt generator that runs OK but produces no power. All the alternator windings have continuity and when I hand crank it I get a spike of voltage on my meter. Any ideas?

You have checked the continuity of the wondings - good move.

Have you been able to verify that there is current going into the exciter winding ? It is obviously alternator based so without the exciter winding being powered you won't get anything out.

Sorry if that's obvious.
