I have a small work unit approx. 500 sq feet with fairly high ceiling height. The unit is on the top floor so heat escapes quite easily through the roof. I want to heat the are during the day and also be able to take the chill off at night. I currently have a sall fan heater and halogen heater which take the chill off the room after a few hours but arent cheap to run.
Can't really do anythgin permanent like insulation/windows etc. as it's rented.
I know the likes of HSS would hire a heater that would heat the room vey quickly but prob. cost a lot in the process!
Any advice greatly apreciated.

with the restrictions of not being able to insulate the place all i can say is invest in a vest! and gloves & scarve.
sorry but this is a cake and eat it situation. high ,uninsulated roof.

one probably totally daft idea is my mate has just bought an electric (12v ) heated thermal under jacket for his motorcycle. needs a 12v power source though so you'd need wires from battery to you, bit inconvienient.
