Basically, it's a member of the mustard family, and it's where we get canola oil.
It's a disgusting bright yellow flowering plant about a foot high or more that is increasingly planted in large fields and which totally disfigures the whole countryside.

If you have a car and have ever driven out in the country and come across a field which is bright yellow, that's oil seed rape. And the seed gets blown everywhere and escapes in the wind and you often find straggling plants in verges and fields far away from the original site.
