...I need an unslotted 1 1/4 inch basin waste for my vanity basin, I don't want a fancy one, just a normal one with a plug on a chain, this is driving me mad, can anyone help?

Not entirely sure what you mean by 'unslotted' but have you looked on the Screwfix website ... it's pretty well stocked.

Every basin waste I've seen in Wickes, Focus, etc has two slots on either side to allow for the overflow. I don't want this, just a plain one.
Any local plumbers yard will have them in stock forget the DIY chains. Find a good local plumbers merchant in your yellow pages. They are very common i am suprised you are having trouble finding one.

Plumb Center appear to have them, but no pics on the website; shall pop down tomorrow.
Plumb Centre, Grahams, Buildbase plumbing section - they'll all have them.
