Removing wax from glass

I have a lovely old glass which is quite narrow and a little tea light candle has been melted at the bottom of it. I can't reach the bottom of the glass to scrub it out, and I'm sure someone told me that to get wax off things, softening the wax is the way to do it. Anything I can do or should I just throw the glass away (but it is lovely!) Thanks for any suggestions.
