daddy long legs no more now we have some horrible looking things which look very much like them but have a colour in them and a tail thingy which looks like it could sting.any ideas what these are?

Still only a daddy long legs, but more appropriate Mummy long legs. They are just the female of the species.

thanks to you both.cant say i like any of them but i dont suppose they go a bundle on people who squash them either.my dog loves them though.i wouldnt let her catch the last one because it looked like it could sting.can it sting?

No its the egg chamber. We gave one to our venus fly trap.It was like giving it a turkey as opposed to a chicken

the one we had last night had a lucky escape i let it out this morning and it flew away.thats my good deed of the day.still confused though??

i once picked one up to put it outside,and it curled it's tail round and stung me.hurt like hell for couple of hours.
