My garden is mainly paved with beds at the side. we had it cleared in the summer but i am having trouble with weeds, nettles, dandelions etc especially between the paving.
I have 3 dogs and 2 cats and am not keen to use chemical weddkillers.
Any ideas what I can use? I am a full time carer for my husband and daughter so cannot spend a lot of time in the garden (also too tired!!) any help gratefully recieved.
Thanks

Hi SMP,

We use "Roundup" that is fine if you have Pets or Children nearby. Ray
Roundup for me too....but some people swear by using a strong salt solution.
smp, most of the weed killers available are pet safe just check the lable, also i heard vinigar is good for weeds between the cracks, never tried it but thats safe enough, even if you use one thats not safe if you keep your pets in till the weedkillers dryed ,that will be ok.i use round up.
They are normally safe once they are dry, I think. I use plain gypsophiate something or other. Give the weed a good spray, and it dies right down to the roots. Be ruthless!!!
Roundup is a branded glyphosphate - and so you pay more for it.

Glyphosphate is almost harmless to household pets and wild animals. I say almost, but it could be fatal if ingested in high doses/concentrations. So don't let anything eat the weedkillered weeds or get the wet weedkiller on their paws, where they might lick it off.

Bad for fish, though, I believe.
