We have looked at having a conservatory and it will be a massive job as the boiler has to be moved , the boiler vent is in the way, bla, bla, bla.Hubby came up with the idea of a summer house , they look lovely , and retail about 2000.We live in a 2 bedroom house and do not have a dining area and we are fed up with eating off our lap,if you know what I mean ! We want to be able to have people over for a meal , and want to be able to fit a dining table and 6-8 chairs round it.Anyone done this recently ??

Looked at site, many thanks mate !!
Why do you not look into re-routing the boiler flue, I did mine and all was resolved. Cheers
We have just put a summer house in, we built and installed it ourselves and it was the best thing we did. it is another room to sit in and relax, in the evenings with candles and stuff. We even slept in there in the really hot weather with the doors open looking up at the stars ... and the rest! (Had to christen it!) Dog was sitting outside keeping guard, he loved it too. You can use them for whatever you want. They can be a bit pricey so look around but go for it and enjoy it.

Did you have underfloor heating and lighting put in ? Thats what we want. Yours sounds lovely. We are looking at having a sort of hexagonal shaped one.
i've recently had to have my boiler moved to to the opposite wall because it would have vented into the conservatory I wanted built. I also thought it would be a difficult job to do, but it was done in one day by a corgi registered plumber, and cost me 400. The only thing I wasnt happy with was the new copper piping going across the top of my kitchen wall. It doesnt look too bad now it has been boxed in and painted. The alternative way was to go up through the ceiling and down again. This would have been a massive job because the bedroom furniture would have had to be moved, and the carpet and floorboards take up. I went for the easier option. I'm so glad I did because my new conservatory is such a fabulous new room to have. I love it.
