does anyone know why the immature and unripe fruits of my bush tomatoes keep dropping off the plant? They are way too small to eat and green-not yet ripe.

Hi emuchops, Are they Greenhouse toms and what are they growing in?
Possibly too little moisture around the roots and not enough sunshine to help the fruits mature, but as skylight asks, are they in a greenhouse or outdoors, and in which part of the country are you based? If you're very far north, it could be due to hostile climate conditions. Alternatively, did you enrich the soil around the roots with compost first, or is the soil very poor?

hello both-they are outside in containers(seed packet says this is fine-cannot remember variety) and im in Pembrokeshire, Wales. We had about 7 weeks of really hot dry weather-like everyone else, and i kept them well watered-since Aug its been cool and damp.
Use the small green tomatoes to make a delicious green tomato chutney.
