Hi
We cannot fathom out why our house does not sell. I have took all the advice and de cluttered, washed carpets. Nutral colours.
The only things I can see that could put people off are not having a drive (its a very peaceful rd and we park outside our house) and we have permission for a cross over. Also we have a ware house at the back of our garden (about 170ft away) you can see the top of. The garden is over 100ft and full of roses, lavatera, bushes, flowers all well kept and two large sheds to stay.
Any suggestions?

Overpriced ?

Also remember people tend to be on holiday during July and August and do not want to get involved in house moving.

Once September comes, kids go back to school, and things return to normal, then people may start looking at moving.

You bought it so someone will also come along and buy it.

Hi Vehelpfulguy

Good points about the time of year (had not thought of that) . We have reduced the price accordingly after studying similar in the immediate area.
Maybe things will pick up in September.

I will keep my fingers crossed (until I go back to work at least)
try posting it on loads of websites and check to see if your agent is signed up with fish4homes and rightmove.com

Hasanyone been to view your house? If so, ask your estate agent for some feedback. In fact, is your agent working hard enough for you? It is important that your house is advertised in the local paper and on as many websites as possible.

Yes we had three viewings in the first 2 wks. One woman put an offer in and then withdraw it. She was time waster and said that the reason was some of my neighbours front doors looked like ex council house front doors.

Apparently people are put off our house because at the bottom of the garden (over 120ft away) there is a warehouse. Its on lower ground so you can only see the top of the roof above the top of the 10 ft fence.
So today we have gone out and purchased the dreaded lleylandiie, no lleylaanedelli, oh I give up: those trees that grow whilst you watch them (I have yet to witness this, but will keep you posted)

Goodbye for now
