People keep laughing because I say go on the WD40 web site. They have bought 1001 carpet cleaners. If you go to this site and click 1001 it gives you every stain and how to tackle it from start to finish.
Try a fish behind the curtain :)
I don't think you can get rid of milk.......it's the worst thing to ever get out of a carpet....maybe you could claim on house insurance n they will get a professional in to do it.....
Try bicarbinate of soda, mixed with cornflower with some drops of your favourite essential oil - that will get the smell out easy - a Kim and Aggy tip from "how clean is your house"!

so is that in water
I hear it goes naturally after a week or so.

Dunno how true that is.
Good old vinegar. Stand a bowl of vinegar in the affected area overnight and the smell will have gone the next day. I know it worked when I spilled milk in may car, it may take a little longer in the home.
