Try ebay, just type in what you want and it will come up with all the knitting patters you want for only a few pence
or you could try going into the knitting shop and looking through their pattern books. Alternatively, go to the library and see if they have any knitting craft books with patterns in, or get them to order some.

I have to say though, I've never seen a knitted tea cosy, Ive only ever seen patterns to crochet them.

good luck and do post if you find any really good pattern websites.

There are some on here
http://www.knittingpatterncentral.com/director y/cozies.php
American site and you will have to convert the needle size .
You can print the patterns off.
Shame because I have loads of tea cosie patterns ..I collect knitting paraphanalia as it is a lifelong hobby of mine.
Typing a pattern on here would be impossible.
But have a look here
http://www.rnib.org.uk/xpedio/groups/public/do cuments/Visugate/public_acnnov93.hcsp?printPag e=1#P89_15679
Scroll down and there is a really easy one.
Just remembered Mavis
http://www.mavis-crafts.co.uk/Patterns/BazaarB ooks.php
....they do loads of pattern books for bazaar items amongst which are patterns for tea cosies.
Me again
I have just dug this one out of an old pattern book.
2 50gm balls DK one of each colour.
Pair no 8 or 4mm needles.
Lets say the colours are blue and white.
Cast on 98sts in blue and K two rows.
Change to pattern.
Row 1
K1Blue,K8 White *draw blue tightly behind white and K8 draw white tightly behind blue and K8.Repeat from* ending with a K1 White.
Row 2
P1 White P 8 Blue *draw white tightly in front of Blue K 8 draw Blue tightly in front of White K 8 repeat from* ending with K1 Blue.
Repeat the two rows until work measures 5" from the beginning ending with a 2nd row
Continue in pattern but decrease 2 sts in each stripe on every row until only 1st remains in each stripe.
Draw yarn tightly through the remaining stitches and fasten off.
Join side seams leaving opening for the teapot handle and spout.
Crochet a loop and sew on the top.
