You can mow it as soon as it needs it. Presumably you are watering it well. This means once a day for a fortnight(especially as the weather is so dry at the moment). I wouldn't do anything in that time. After that, for the first couple of cuts, cut it long (at least 1 1/2 inches). By that time the roots should be getting established. Once the lines between the 'rolls' of turf start to go, you can mow it how you like, but the initial watering is the most important thing.
