I had candles on my windowsill, but when I blew them out the other night I accidently splattered the glass with wax. What's the best method of removing the wax without marking the window pane?

a brown paper bag over the wax and iron with a warm not hot iron.
Works on clothes too
Use a scraper ..like one of those things you scrape grease etc off of ceramic hobs..they have a very fine blade and won't mark the glass.
Try a Stanley Knife blade.
I'd try the scraper - the iron method is probably too dangerous for a window. If the wax needs to be softened, perhaps you could do this with a hair dryer or a damp cloth (warm water).

Thanks guys. I had originally thought of the scraper as I remember my dad cleaning something off a window once with a stanley knife blade. Was just a bit worried cos it's new double glazing that I've only had a few months and don't want to leave scratches.
