Water Stains on Embroidery

I have a piece of beautiful embroider, which was under glass as a tray. However, a leak in my roof poured water through the ceiling and onto the tray. The glass had not beend sealed and teh water went underneath it to the embroidery. I now have a huge water stain on the linen fabric. Can anyone advise how to remove it. Would Vanish stain spray remove it? Or Dry cleaning?

Any suggestions would be welcome.
