I need to renew a small area in these self adhesive lino tiles. The ones that are there are in good condition just need to renew colour.Would it be ok to put the new ones on top of these or will I have to get them up.Thanks for any advice. Was just thinking of all the work involved if I could get away with putting them on top.

Hi wendilla,

Should not be a problem doing that, but don't lay them exactly as they are now,if you have afull tile by your starting point put in a half tile,so that they are staggered, this will eliminate any potential problems, you will also have a little lip at doorways,so if you just shave the edge of the doorway ones you won't be kicking them when going into room, good luck, Ray

ok thanks for that.Door won't be a problem as there will be a dividing bar between tiles and carpet.
Go for it wendilla,
let us know how you do, make sure you get a really sharp stanley knife, and use the edge of a tile to cut along, also remember to put the tiles on a piece of wood or similar when cutting, take care, Ray
