Over freezing freezer!

I have an old Zanussi side by side fridge freezer. The freeer has 3 drawers which get so frozen I cant get the drawers open. Cant find a thermostat anywhere and the seal seems in tact. Any suggestions as to how I can stop it overfreezing?
