I have located a carpet which will suit my house very well (colour is a crucial element), but I am balking at the price. It is a 'top brand' manufacturer's standard product (i.e. not a one-off made to order only) but a high quality one, so not stocked by the familiar discount retailers, only 'select' high street retailers operating along Harvey Nicks (or Harrods) lines. Does anyone know of a carpet outlet which will literally supply any UK manufacturer's carpets at a substantial discount ?

Just buy two 1 square metre sections and tie them to your feet.

ukcarpetsdirect.com very good site, quick to send samples(of the carpet variety) and cheaper than high street.
