I have several jasmine plants in my garden, which have semi-circular holes eaten out of the leaves. What could be the cause of this as they look dreadful. I live in Spain, if this helps at all.

The cause of the problem is snails . To stop them from eating the plans get some slug pellets and put them around the outside of the plant and when the snail goes over the pellets the snail will die.
