if i wanted to install a concrete garage would i need planning permision.

I would think it is counted as a permanent structure, so the answer would be yes. Only car ports are regarded as temporary, I think. You won't lose out by asking - the Local Planners are there to help with this sort of enquiry.

In my experience if you ask your planning office if you need planning permission they always say yes just to cover themselves. Try this site for correct answer.

I would think planning permission varies from Council to Council but one extra thought - in Leeds, if a garage is being built within a certain distance of the main house (and not necessarily connected to it) it counts as an extension !

yes i believe its one metre?

i sell these garages via the internet all over the country. having spoken to various councils,they tend to come back with different answers, so i say to the client speak to your council first before ordering as you wont want to take it down after!
