How much does it cost to have a drop kerb? How long do you have to wait for the work to be carried out? Do you have to contact anyone else apart from your local council? What would prevent it from happening?

In my case, the council contacted me because they were concerned that driving my car over the pavement could damage under-ground services. They insisted that I have my curb dropped by their workers or that I stop using the driveway. The cost was just over 400.00 and I had to send a deposit of 100.00 That was more than 6 months ago and the work has not yet been done. Thanks for reminding me about it.
It varies from one local authority to another. So you would need to ask your own council what is the charge in your area.
I was directed to a local contractor by my local council who apparently don't do them anymore. They quoted me 500 for a drop kerb. WOW!
