Bamboo houseplant

I have a bamboo houseplant, not like the lucky bamboo at all, it's a potted plant witj many fie bamboo shoots. I've only had it for two weeks and it doesn't look very healthy at all. Anyone know how much and how often it likes to be watered?

Hmmm OCT02... Well if its not dead by now, the answer is A LOT! In the wild, during the growing season, you can almost watch it grow. it can be a foot in a week or two in a good established "thicket" (I don't know the term for a bamboo field)
