Since buying new mattress which is higher, then topper put on top of it (I originally had it). the old sheet is not fitting it well.

I measured total height and it comes to about 10" height - should I get that height or go for a little higher (Dunelm). Thanks

I use extra deep sheets from Marks or John Lewis
If it is a standard double size mattress buy king size sheets. My mattresses are very deep and that's what I do.
You can buy double sheets that claim to be extra deep but I don't find them up to the job.

Of course a king size sheet is no good on a double bed if you want fitted sheets, in which case buy the extra deep like these

I too have a thick mattress and thick feather topper. The extra deep fitted sheets from John Lewis are a perfect fit.
Dunelms deepest fitted sheets are 32cm, I’d go for that, it’s what we buy for our bed(s).

thanks for the answers but I do like them pretty fitted like not bulking out at the 4 corners
Sheets won't bulk out at corners if you have 'hospital corners' JJ. I don't like them coming untucked so prefer a big overlap

ok - have decided on 32cm height - now I'm being offered sateen - looked it up and it is "silky" or whatever - is it cold?
