A sea of gold, well that's my vision.
Anyone have any tips on getting these plants established in my wildlife garden ?

TIA.

I love to see them in mine. They seem to like damp shade and my soil is quite heavy

Dont! They are too invasive, seed everywhere and are impossible to get rid of.
Or just order half a dozen and give it about three years....
Also poisonous, i believe. If there's any chance you are going to have pet rabbits or Guinea pigs loose not a good idea

I used to be a steward at a large estate where the gardens were opened for snowdrops each year. My area included a large display of celandines and I was told that many efforts had been made to establish the plants elsewhere but they always failed.
Probably more tolerable on a large estate.
I don't find them invasive at all and of course after the spring, they vanish....isn't it odd, no one calls snowdrops or English bluebells invasive.
I definitely find them invasive and would never plant them (mine were an unwelcome gift on a clump of something else from a neighbour!)

Thanks all.
I'm looking for a carpet covering for a couple of weeks in early spring, in a moist wooded area with dappled shade, so this plant will fit the bill.
Wood anemones would be beautiful too and have prettier foliage
have both...also snowdrops, also wild cyclamen

I did try some wood anemomes once but they just don't seem to like the soil, a little on the acidic side, I think.

A couple of years back I planted some cyclamen corms, only to find they had all been dug up by something the very next day.

I've since bought a lesser celandine plant (Brazen hussy), its leaves are a dark bronze colour, so I'll try to get a patch of these going, if I can. I bought the last one they had in the nursery.
