like evrything it depends on the area

where are you talking about

I think they charge per sq metre. You could try measuring the area to be tiled & ringing round a few local tilers. Of course it's going to depend how much preparation needs doing. I overheard someone talking (naughty me earwigging!) & I'm sure they said 11 per sq m. but that was on a good surface. (Derby area btw)

Thanks, Teesside are - I know my question is a bit like how long is a piece of string but its just a very rough idea iam after, never had anything tiled before so I've no idea how much I'd be talking. Thanks...
we had 3 quotes for the conservertory a couple of weeks ago it is 3x4 metrs between300 and four hundred we did it oursef in the end and it is fine we live in the midlands
The trouble is that most tilers are mainly plumbers most of the time and charge accordingly. My friendly handyman ( fully qualified in plumbing/electrics etc) charges 60 per day - cash in hand and is very good. Try and go by recommendation.

Not sure about tilers being plumbers - only when they have to.

15 to 20 per metre metre would be realistic. This is close to the price of tiles - so double that. Doing decent grouting that nearly as long as tiling. Don't ask for a price by day, price it per job. Cutting for round corners and dealing with reveals is the longest part of the job.
