5. Molehill
2 Lark spur ?
4. Rail
1 FOUR LEAF CLOVER
3. Hydrangea - hide ranger
Just to help people read them.
1) something to look over 4,4,6.
2) joke stimulus 8.
3) conceal the guide 9.
4) complain persistently 4.
5) a spy with a Landform rhat rises above surroundings 8.
6) precipitation yet 7

I think only the last one is left unsolved
I thought 6 might be waterbutt but that is 9 not 7
or rainbutt- but that's 8
I think it's rainbutt, and the setter made an error with letter count or how to spell it.

Thank you for all you answers. You have all been a great help
I wouldn't typically expect to see a rail (the duck) in a garden.
Could 4 be CARP (of the koi variety)?
Prof Maisie - railings are fences made from rails
carp is a good answer
Aly74 it would be better if you put this in puzzles and quizzes more people will see it x
Beef (if you have cattle in your garden)?
Carp fits complain persistently better
lol ^^ my mum did years ago when they got out of the field x
Ha. I think CARP is probably right.
Which can be found just about anywhere jj109, that's why I opted for the duck (although it isn't a 'duck' of course as it doesn't have webbed feet).
I also think that 'carp' is closer to the definition - 'complain persistantly' (but I don't want to carp).
No Prof - you don't want to crow!
I'm a bit slow typing - you'd all said it by the time I'd finished. Thanks (I like 'beef' a lot!)
