I have two chest of drawers from MFI which are ten years old now. they have moulded plastic on the fronts of them. I would like to take that off and make the fronts plain. But do not know how to go about it.

Maybe you could try carefully edge along the moulding with a stanley knife or a craft knife. Good luck.
Other than that, a sharp chisel & hammer might do the trick!

thanks for that but don think that would work. There is a piece already broken off and underneath is very strong looking ,yellow, glue.

In that case I would stil tend to use a sharp chisel & hammer, then a solvent that removes the glue. Good luck.
