I can't answer your question.

But when I had a garden and a big, male dog he managed to kill the lawn by peeing on it. Brown, burnt grass is not attractive.
The lawn won't grow in cold weather, so you would be wasting time and money feeding it.
Save the weed and feed until next spring.
I'd !eave it until the spring Rocky. Was it turf or seeded? Feeling any better with the tooth? Xxx

Thanks all. I'll tell him to wait until Spring. Saves him having a moan.

Tooth still hurts, Maisie. The co-codamol is giving a couple of hours relief. What an excellent pain killer.
My grass is still growing and as much as I hate to hijack this post, I have a small area in my small garden under the hydrangea where what looks like an oil spill keeps appearing and I can't get grass not weed to grow there, in wet weather it's obviously wet and gloopy looking but on a very dry day it looks like soot, is it something coming from the hydrangea? would anyone have seen similar to what I have described before
Rake over and apply moss killer, this will also give nutrients
to the grass. The grass will look dark but will help over the winter months.
