I am going to seriously de-clutter......it's time....

I have dozens and dozens of pieces of Noritake china......two full dinner services accidentally gifted to me and lots of extras.....

Has anyone sold china and can recommend somewhere I can approach?

I don't do e-bay if that's one way to do it....

Thanks Gx

This specialist collector's website (which I use for postcards, etc) might be worth a try: https://www.delcampe.net/en_GB/collectables/ PS: When I saw a post entitled 'Selling China' I thought it must be about a Trumpsian political initiative ;-)

Hi my Apple xx, have you tried Gumtree / Free ads? easy to use, or type in Noritake China for sale.
My late mother bought two Noritake vases in her young days (about 1936). When she died, I took them to a local auction business, where they were sold for £200. I was surprised that they fetched so much, because I considered them to be 'modern', rather than 'antique'. You might care to try an auction for your Noritake china.
Even though you don't do eBay, it might be a good idea to do a search for your pattern(s) to get an idea of how popular they are and the price you can ask.

Looking at the prices of items for sale that are the same as I have they may be a bit much for that, TWR, sweetie............but worth a shot maybe....x

BB....and Pasta.....I had a google around out of curiosity and was amazed at what Noritake will sell for.....I know I won't sell for as much as I've seen but I have quite a few hundred pounds of china gathering dust....
Dinner plates are asking £15 each and I have sixteen of those....and I do have some of the more unusual pieces....

I'll investigate auctions in my area....thank you....x
If it's the Alluring Fields design I'll give you £150 for the set.

Sorry, Hc...we'd have had a deal otherwise....x

Thanks, Chris....that looks interesting....off out for an hour now but I'll look at that when I get home....I've unearthed boxed Mont Blanc and Conway Stewart pens...that might be a place to look to sell those too......I have too much stuff!!!.... :-)

Oh and you have to have a BA for your p.s.......:-)
If I can add Gness, take a photo with a witness just in-case you have some devious buyers say, this was chipped, this is discoloured, the item is not as described, you know what I mean xx
I had an 8 piece set with all sorts of extras and nobody would take it from me, even the auction house weren't interested as it wouldn't go in a dishwasher. It was a white set with a discreet dull gold band so not a gaudy old fashioned set but it didn't matter. I sold the lot to a friends for £50
There has been a lot of this sold on eBay

It may be worth a try. Cheaper than a 'proper' auction house!

two full dinner services accidentally gifted to me

how does that sort of thing happen ???

I'll be careful, TWR...thank you....

This is quite a delicate pattern, Thuglike...hope I get more than £50 for it....I want a spa day..... :-)

Thank you, Eddie...that's useful to give me some ideas...x

Wolf...when I went to live in Canada I was given an account to furnish and equip the house......
I ordered a three piece suite and the dinner service arrived.....I phoned and they said keep the dinner service we will find the suite and deliver....they delivered a second dinner service....which they told me to keep....
I ordered a different suite but a couple of months later when I opened up the wood shed for a delivery of logs I found the original suite...so I ended up with two dinner services and two three piece suites.... :-)

You are starting to sound frighteningly like my mum. Except she is dead (1996) and you are not dead yet.
"Yet" is quite reasssuring ...

When it does happen Just make sure you have an alibi Dave.

Gness - how big is your airfryer thing. I need/want one.

Best I can say, Wolf is about half the size of a microwave.....as tall and half as wide....

I have the Phillips one I got for £75 which was a bargain by the prices I've seen but I've just bought one from Lidl for £50...I hope it's as good as the Phillips which is fantastic.....x
