similar problem here - I have a large blind at one window, which has faded until it is the colour of sky. I got fed up with kamikaze pigeons smashing themselves into the window, ending up as fox-fodder on the patio, with feathers and guts strewn all over the garden, so I have painted jagged stripes on the blind with fabric paints. So far, so good.
I have black blinds with vertical slats so I bird proofed the large patio window by wetting it and sticking lots of almost transparent bath mats to it.....looks odd too, but it worked.....
Black blinds don't reflect as much light as the reflecting glass so reflections are visible. White blinds or curtains reflect more light thus masking the reflections.
I had some stickers on the patio window, LB...but that didn't seem to work in this situation......
They may have thought other birds were in the "trees"?.....So I've covered all the glass now....
The neighbours and window cleaner will just have to think a bonkers old lady lives here till the leaves drop......
Can't change them now, Jom.....brick paper and bath mats will have to work.....
Suppose when the fete is over I can sit the tarty, big fairy I'm making on the patio......that should do it......☺
Must be like the black hole of Calcutta inside! We had similar tragedies in one of our rooms. Fine white lace curtains did the trick, and looked quite nice too.
