When the hell are we and 'the west' going to actually do something about IS?

For goodness sake they are barbarious animals and if we procrastinate much longer there will be no stopping them.

With the armeries and technologies of the west there should be no IS to perpetuate these atrocities.

I am not religious in any shape or form but the phrase "the world is going to hell in a hand basket" is very apt right now.
Children as such are exempt from fasting during Ramadan anyway tho it doesn't say how old these are precisely
Just an example of using a perverted interpretation of religious custom to terrorise people
There is very little that ISIS can do that is still shocking Tony...simply dreadful, and all the more reason that an international effort is required to defeat them.

and all the more reason that an international effort is required to defeat them.

But how, mikey. Nothing ( that I know of ) seems to be done about them right now.
I don't have an answer Tony, but the longer the free world stands around, wringing its hands, the worst the situation is going to get.

My thoughts to, mikey.
i have a morrocan friend who is now doing ramadan, and she says that kids shouldn´t start doing ramadan until they are at least 14, but not for the complete time period, say 1 or 2 days a week. well thats what happened when she was a child about 20years ago.
Well cop this little lot too

These people are evil, pure and simple but still many Muslims appear to condone it and fail to speak out.
The problem is Mickey the West has been critised for the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.

Intervention will mean body bags and that is not acceptable to the hand wringing liberals, many of whom seem to support ISIS (if their anti West and pro Islamic comments are anything to go by)

There is also an unwillingness, particularly in this country to 'offend' Muslims. We can thank the Blair administration and their continual cries of "racist" for that.
These evil b*s****s are the devil's disciples & makes me wonder if there really is any truth in the biblical prophecy of Armageddon where the forces of the Lord God take up arms against the forces of Satan & his army of evil, this being the start of the great battle.

Time to take the bull by the horns and wipe them out imo.
It's only unusual for this day and age though WR.

In days of Yore pretty much all religions have persecuted non believers. Think Spanish inquisitions etc.
That is easier said than done Tony. Remember it is not just those in the caliphate they have created, we have them in our midst.

I can just hear the howls of anguish from the right-on brigade and the sound of cash registers as the Lawyers start piling into the HRA and ECHR !!

I do share your sentiments though. Something does need to be done, but I would suggest we start at home.
All well and good but what do we do and how ?

Send troops in...ok, but where exactly and how many...these filth are everywhere its virtually an impossible task now....
My post crossed....about the home grown, im talking about the mid east and africa
If troops were sent there they'd soon break the structures of ISIS, as happened to the Taliban in Afghanistan, but when they eventually left the remnants of the terrorists would start to regroup. This is happening with the Taliban now.
Question Author
I think a lot of people guessed that would happen regarding the Taliban, sandy (business as usual now the troops have gone ).
"If troops were sent there they'd soon break the structures of ISIS"

sent where exactly ?

they keep taking out al queda leaders/commanders but its not made any difference
Where? Much of Syria and large swathes of western Iraq.
and you think we have the resources not to mention the stomach to send and lose yet more troops to cover these "swathes" ?
