I have a basil mint plant & would like to know how to make a basic sauce with the leaves.

Do you know how to make a mint sauce using spearmint?

Put in a small jar like bought mint sauce & keep in the fridge.

Pick a good handful of leaves, chop as finely as you can, scrape into a little bow, add vinegar to cover. Leave in fridge to infuse.
