I've been fancy one for weeks. Because of Mics diet I have been concentrating on his food and not mine. Today I succumbed and bought back bacon rashers, just an 8oz pack for me. On the way home I could fair taste that bacon. Shopping put away, Mic fed I opened the pack. One bloody rasher as thick as a plank of wood, I was so mad. In different times I would have been straight back to the shop. So I had to settle for tea and a fag. Grrrrrr.

Not enough time black cat, apart from that they are always served on white rolls I want wholemeal slices. Fussy cow I know, but I know what I want.
One rasher? Where did you but it, Jeza?
Question Author
In the local stray cat tilly.
Take it back!
"One bloody rasher as thick as a plank of wood..."

Think yourself lucky, dear. These days rashers are so thin that once you've put them in the frying pan they tend to disappear.

I would have put it on the griddle and ate it anyway.

Tilly I thought your typo' but' meant put hence the stray cat, now I see you meant buy so the answer is Asda.
Blidy hell, bad luck Jeza, pity you didn't buy some sausages to go with it. At least you could have has a sausage sarnie.
Question Author
True Tony, but where I am I have yet to find a decent sausage, fact is I've given up trying.
Are there no farm shops in your neck of the woods, Jeza.
"... but where I am I have yet to find a decent sausage"

Oh dear, open to misinterpretation.
Question Author
Not that I know of Tony. We had a really good local butcher whose sausages were lovely, then he retired.
That was a bacon gammon steak you had should have wrapped it in foil and cooked it in the oven better than those tissue paper like bacon slices!
Is it still a butchers shop or something else now, Jeza.
Sound like that would've made a great sarnie.
Question Author
Bordered up Tony. O G I am a person not a bloody lion.
Sorry to hear that Jeza! In my book, there's not many finer smells than a bacon sarnie!
Have you given any of the sausages a try from the deli counter in any of the supermarkets.
