When I go on hols I get my son to water my potted plants but he is moving away next month. Are there any gadgets on the market that I can use to keep my violas etc from dying while I am away? I don't want to ask my neighbours.

when ive been away for a couple of weeks, I have bought a couple of cheap childrens paddling pools. placed the plantpots inside and filled the pools with water.

The bath?

Saw something similar to these at the garden centre, not sure how long they will last though.
Use a water timer - fits on to your hoselock fitting and turns on for a set amount of time and for a set number of times during the day.
Mine is battery powered and will be connected to the water but if it ever stops raining.

Thanks. I have over 20 pots and they are on the patio. Too many to put in the bath. May try the glass bubbles. Thanks all
Sorry lyn, I clicked on Buenchico's link and got houseplants in my head.
