The front of my property is subsiding due to the dry weather and the clay soil shrinking. Will it need to be underpinned using concrete piles or are there new, less evasive methods, which are cheaper? Does anyone know - thanks

It depends upon how deep it is necessary to go to get a bearing. If you Google "mini piles" you will find plenty to read about the various methods of the underpinning and piling contractors. It is not possible to go further on AnswerBank, you really need a Chartered Civil Engineer to inspect and advise you.
