I can remember watching a family show, Was it "The Grove Family"? Also Muffin the Mule, Sooty and Sweep and an advert "You'll wonder where the yellow went when you brush your teeth with Pepsodent". Whoever thought that was a good slogan? I also remember the soap powder ads every time citing new and improved for even whiter whites. Makes one wonder what colour white the white items used to be.

Watch with mother !
I remember Muffin, my dad worked at the BBC at the time and knew Annette Mills. I had a Muffin toy. We didn't have a TV at the time so I had to go on what Dad told me, and what was in the Radio Times.
The Woodentops, Tales of riverbank, Andy Pandy, Twizzle, The Flowerpot men, Camberwick Green, Trumpton and Chigley.
Lizzie Dripping.
I remember vividly Listen with Mother on the radio, always followed then by Woman's Hour - and a few years after that, Children's Hour (I was a regular listener) and series such as Mossy Green Theatre, and particularly Journey into Space!
Huw Wheldon fronting "All your own", a talent show for kids. One prog. involved a lad leaping about on a pogo stick.
Archie Andrews - Educating Archie - seems daft now, to have a ventriloquist show on the Radio!

My dad was a great fan of the Archers - my sister still is, she's been listening for decades.
Andy Pandy and TheWoodentops were my favourites. I didn't like The Flowerpot men. I couldn't tell what they were saying, flobadob.
Weeeeed !

Television programme? I could go back to "What's your name little girl"? "Jennifer" amid peals of laughter, listen with mother etc if talking radio.
Ialso remember the quiz programme, Take YourPick. I liked that.
Andy Pandy was a milksop & the wooden tops were posh. The flowerpot men had attitude:-)
Q] why is sand yellow?

A] Because the sea weed, lol!
I think Playschool was probably the earliest programme I used to sit and watch, but I do however remember the programme that was on before it in the afternoons, Origami.
I think Muffin was the first one I watched - there weren't many TV programmes on then, and there were wonderful 'Interval' programmes - Potter's wheel comes to mind. Do you remember 'Normal Service will be resumed as soon as possible'.

I also remember the Quatermass Experiment - I think that was the first time I heard Mars from the Planet Suite. It was really scary.
I think it was called Animal quackers... it had a blue lion... scarred me but how bizzarre.. I loved it.
Later ones were Skippy, Flipper and Black Beauty and Scooby Doo!
Sooty and Sweep and little Sue.
Anyone remember Space patrol?
Timeslip.
