Combi Boiler Firing Up Even With Water Off And Room Stat Satisfied

Hello all, my boiler is firing up randomly even though I have turned the hot water off and the digital room thermostat is satisfied. Any ideas why this is happening?

The Builder

It sounds like it's "cycling" Tommy. Perhaps a simple thermistor (thermostat type of thing) has failed and the burner keeps wanting to be fired up.
You'll need to get someone in.
I don't think it'll be a DIY job :o(

Thanks builder, I think your right, I spoke to the electrician today who fitted the room stat and he said he's going to come back and have a look. Thank you again.
