Moving plants

My tree is being cut down this week and I have to move my sunflowers and gourds to another part of the yard. I need advice.

You'll be very lucky to move them and for them to survive, they are annual plants and won't have a very big root system. If you want to try I suggest you dig holes ready for the plants in another part of your garden , dig them up wth plenty of surrounding soil and absolutely 'puddle' them in to their new site with  masses of water in the holes. However I'm not hopeful.
