I have a mini weeping willow, the past few weeks the leaves have started curling and going brown, it does not look as though the leaves are being eaten and the browning only seems to be occurring on the leaves which are on the outside. Any ideas / suggestions welcome. Thank you.

Has it been in the hot sun (if you've had any!) and allowed to dry out? Or, on the other hand, have you had any cold winds? Either of those conditions can cause leaf browning.
sounds like either scorch or a problem at root level if it spreads and it hasn't been in the soil long I'd consider digging it up and trying it somewhere else

We have had hot sun, the courtyard is a real sun trap, we've had high winds too, it has been in the ground for about a year now and has actually done really well until recently. OH did put some large pebbles around the bottom of it, covering the soil and I thought maybe this was preventing the water getting through to the roots as well as it as before the pebbles were put there. Thank you both.
