Can someone please help settle a differance of opinion. Is it cheaper to use a shower that heats the water as it runs or one supplied with hot water from an immersion heater that has two selections, bath or sink.

Instant heat shower only heats the water that you use, maybe 2-3 gallons max. An immersion heater would heat at least half a tankful of water which would be about 5 gallons.

So it is definitely cheaper to use the electric shower. Thanks for that.
Heating water as you need it is nearly always more economical.
Instant shower, every time, and it's hot every time because the water doesn't get used for anything else.
