collectible plates

can anyone tell me of any BRITISH sites on which to check the values of some collectible, limited edition plates of which I inherited from my late mother. I have tried ebay, but cannot find suitable info. I have also tried entering names of plates and edition numbers, but all I seem to get are American sites.
