how to change the pull cord spring on a spear and jackson petrol strimmer

Hi, the pull cord has stuck tight on this strimmer,
I took the part off via 4 screws, but I can not get the spring out,
is there way it can be extracted?
It's a Spear & Jackson SPJGT30 petrol strimmer
