If you could sing, would you feel proud to sing for your country?

I would just be to embarrassed for our country and decline any offer.

I'd be on the embarrassment express as well, Eurovision is well past it's sell by.
Eurovision has become a bit of a farce really, so no ... even if I had a great voice and could sing realy well, I wouldn't want to take part!
depends. If I was young and starting out with no reputation to defend or old and not that bothered then I might. Anything in between then probably not. Also depend on how much choice I had about the song.
I'd be proud at a sporting event but not Eurovision. I don't know why the entries aren't squirming at the political voting.
I think the point is who can afford to host it the next year so that explains strange entries
Not even Elvis (were he still with us) could win Eurovision if he came from Western Europe!
The only way around this "block" voting would be for everyone to sing in English, and have no prior knowledge of the songs entered and the songs origins kept secret until the winner is declared! Otherwise forget it!

How about the general public getting a vote as to who represents us and then the general public have the final vote along with a major revamp?
