does anyone know if there is any help available to replace an old oil boiler. The water jacket has gone and is leaking. My dad is 91, disabled and on full attendance allowance, my mum is 86 and in poor health. Dad is coming home after 6 weeks in hospital and this work needs to be done ASAP. They have been told it is going to cost a good deal of money which they may not be able to afford so I wondered if there was any financial help out there for people in their situation. The boiler is 20 years old, but I think the scrappage scheme is now finished. Thanks for any help

Yes Apply to a firm called EAGA.They did mine.
Have a read of this:-

This is what razza refers to, it may be a better place to start:-

Thats correct dodger, they replaced my old boiler and 4 of my radiators. It was EAGA who did the job for warm front.
EAGA then sub let the work to heating engineers in your proximity.

Just an afterthought to my previous post, they want to replace the oil boiler with another oil boiler. Would this make a difference to them being able to get a grant?
