I have only used Paypal for fairly cheap items under £20 and I have never been charged anything over the listed price. Maybe the supplier had included that in its quoted price.

I've just remembered I have bought several electronic crossword solvers for over a £100 each and I only paid the quoted price and I recently bought a spin dryer again without paying extra.
