beautiful squashes

i just love the look of these little beauties in Morrisons

we have some. I roast them on a tray in chunks with sweet potato and onions use them as a vegetable accompaniment for a meal, then use leftovers for soup. If they are small enough, you can cut the top off, microwave them and eat them out of the skin for a snack

yes i've had the butternut one, but not tried the other, little ones. I suppose they all taste quite similar?
Don't want to put you off, but I bought one of the small green and yellow Harlequin squash I think it was called. I would normally have bought a butternut squash, but saw these and was tempted to try it. I found it incredibly hard to peel and it seemed to take much longer to cook than the butternut would have done, glad I gave it a try, but it's now back to butternut :) oh I roasted mine with red onions, courgettes aubergine etc to go with cous cous and feta cheese, leftovers were used on a pizza.
