Can you force a neighbour to get a wasps nest removed? He has had one for years and refuses to do anything about it, and the amount of wasps are a real issue.

Thanks

It may take a bit of time but why not put some jam in a water contained jar with a hole in the lid and put half a dozen round your garden

We did this last year to protect some apple treas and the jars quickly filled up.
Wasps don't use the same nest year after year!
Yes the neighbour should get them removed, I had wasps in my fascia and
the next door pointed it out to me as was on their side, I had to get it
removed by pest control it was costly but you have ever right to get it
done by your neighbour, if when you tell them its annoying and they should
get it removed. If any trouble you should go to citizens advice Good Luck.
I really don't understand on what basis the above responder makes these remarks. Cloud cuckoo land springs to mind.
Unless you take out a civil action in the courts with unknown probability of success or ask the local authority to get involved under the Statutory Nuisance legislation (which will normally involve a fee being paid to the LA), I don't see how 'every right to get it done' comes into it.
I wouldn't think you can force anyone to get rid. As far as I can find out wasps are not classified as vermin, merely pests.
You could offer to pay for removal if it bothers you that much.
you could get one of these

The new queen wasp build a completely brand new nest and the whole process starts again. Nests from previous years are never re-used.

Perhaps it's the lesser-striped Groundhog wasp
