I have a BT Hub 3.0 and my broadband was activated on the 3rd June but I still cannot get a broadband signal.
The power light is blue, the wireless light is blue but the broadband light shows nothing but every few hours it flashes orange for a few seconds.
My laptop picks up the Hub but it says no broadband connection, I am connecting wirelessly.
I have connected the ADSL filters correctly and the broadband cable.
Can anyone help me, tried BT but they were no help?
Thanks in advance.

Remove all filters and any extension leads you may have, plug one filter back into the master socket for the phone and then plug the router into that filter and see if it works.

One of the most common problems is people trying to run a router off an extension lead that's plugged into a filter, Which won't work!

ChuckFickens plugged one filter back into the master socket for the phone and plugged the router into that after removing all the other filters and a extension lead but still not getting a broadband signal on Hub.
Is there a clear and noise-free phone line at that socket?
This could be a gain/quality problem or broadband not available on your line yet.
Check what lights are supposed to be showing and try again tomorrow.
I rang BT helpline and they were very helpful, no probs now, fingers crossed.
Why not ring 0800 800 150 and get BT to sort it..........you're paying them.

Albags, yes the line is clear and noise free, all the lights are meant to be blue and they are except the Broadband light.
I have been trying to get a connection for the last three days, I was told my broadband would be activated on Friday the 3rd June.

Smurfchops, did you have the same problem as me?
You tried a reboot of the router (button)
You have accessed the settings by browser and checked your details are in there correctly? You could try manually correcting if incorrect .. or running BT install disc again.

Albags I have tried rebooting the router several times, how do I access the browser to check my settings are correct, I have tried installing the BT disc also several times but I can only get as far as it saying no broadband connection, it picks up the Hub ok. The disc tells you what to check when there is no broadband connection and I tried these but still no connection.
Try plugging your hub into the bt supplied phone socket, that's the one nearest your front door. Use a different filter. Unplug everything else from all the phone sockets in your house. If it works then, then it is something you are doing, if it doesn't work then it's bt's fault and you need to get back in touch
Yes ..
Make sure if possible you try the router in the Master BT (incoming) socket first if possible. You can move (or try to) it later to an extension.

Broadband finally working, problem was down to BT not activating on the date they said even though they sent me an email saying it was activated. Telephoned them and they gave me another date five days away but when I tried to go online the next day it was working, don't think BT know sometimes what they are doing.
Thank you everyone for all you advice any way.
