tin y black flies

we are inundated with a swarm of tiny black f;lies which land onb everything we eat and drink indoors. We have tried fly spray, but to no avail. Any ideas very welcome.

We had a lot of fruit flies a couple of weeks ago. They have all gone now but fly spray worked on them.

Mrs M. If you have any indoor plants, take a look at the soil in the pots - sometimes those little black flies come from there. I have given up on houseplants, as this seems to happen to me quite a lot.

It may also be worth checking your eaves to see if you have any bird nests. My sister's room got infested one year when a swallow nested near the window....

yes mrsmurphy i know the little bliters you mean, i found vinegar traps worked, just a small bowl with a little vinegar and covered with cling film, with just a tiny hole or two, they can get in but not out, i have one near each door and window, and try not to leave even veg peelings exposed, so they have nothing else to gather on.
